Obviously, the idea behind the creation of Custom Crosses was to fill the needs of those who wanted a memorial, perhaps by the roadside, for their
loved ones. But, as this project developed, we discovered many new possibilities, several suggested by customers and others, that open a whole different set of possibilities. We've showcased these
below, and you may have other ideas.
Roadside Memorial:
Easily our most popular to date, this 36" model has been used extensively for auto
accidents including every age group, though recently, we sent one to New York to commemorate the loss of NBC Journalist Richard Bloom in the war with Iraq. The roadside model comes standard
with Reflective graphics.
Child Memorial: Generally we use the smaller 18" model for this, though you may want the 36". In a tragedy involving a child, I can
only imagine the heartache and our prayers are with you.
Pet Memorial: Given we've referred to our dog, Bear, as our 'youngest' for several years now, coupled with the fact that I remembered the little
cemetery in my childhood in the back yard for every animal I had raised and lost growing up, this seemed like a pretty good idea. Typically, people use the 18" model for this purpose.
Grave Markers: We live in a small town that has numerous little cemeteries around the community and many gravestones have
disappeared over the years except in our older folks memory. Many have begun the process of marking some of these with Crosses. Also, instead of the small metal marker on graves of those folks who can't yet afford a big stone marker, or are awaiting delivery of one,
this makes a nice alternative.
Decoration Day Memorials: In our area, every May, the local churches have their own 'Decoration Day's that allow us to commemorate our
loved ones by reuniting our immediate and church families and visiting and decorating their last resting places. Our Cross, with a few flowers added perhaps, make a great addition to this celebration
of their life.
To lose a loved one is one of the hardest situations to deal with.
Memorial Crosses have increasingly become a way not only to honor and
remember those who have passed on, but to share those memories with others.
Through my experience in emergency response with our local Rescue Squad, I've seen the
devastation that comes from the loss of a loved one, and I've come to know how much it means to the family to be able to express that sorrow. This, and the fact that there are few options available
on the market, led me to believe we could provide a Cross, made from only the best materials, designed for ease of use and maintenance, and keep it at a low cost.
Fully customizable, you may select names, dates, graphic colors (red is reserved, with reflective graphics, on our Roadside model for DUI related accidents), symbols, and
you may even choose to add a picture. In roadside or related cases, we always recommend you get the
permission of the property owner before installing your cross.
We would be honored if you could take a bit of time to browse our site and get to know us
and our company a little better. If you are interested in buying one of our Crosses (and bulk orders are available), feel free to call us for a quote or use our online order form (see the button to
your upper left).
